Difficulty breathing, muscle spasms
🔹 What to do: To prevent your dog from getting a heatstroke, ensure they stay hydrated. The indoor temperature at your home should be kept cool and the air ventilated at all times. If you observe symptoms of heatstroke in your dog, immediately move your dog to a ventilated and shaded area. Apply a wet towel to your dog’s head and back to help cool his/her temperature. If there are no signs of improvement, seek medical attention immediately.
🔸 Symptoms:
Vomiting and diarrhea
Abdominal pain
Loss of appetite
Soft, even bloody stool
🔹 What to do: Drinking water, when left out during the summer, can easily breed bacteria. It is recommended to replace drinking water frequently. Refrain from feeding large amounts of cold foods to your dog to avoid discomfort to the stomach. If your dog exhibits symptoms of gastroenteritis, temporarily stop his/her food consumption and only give small amounts of water. If there are no signs of recovery, seek medical attention immediately.
🔸 Symptoms:
Itchy skin
Redness and dandruff
Shedding of fur
Skin ulcers

Sunburns
🔹 What to do: There are more mosquitoes during the summer. Therefore, it is suggested to perform pest control on your dog and your living environment. Refrain from letting your dog roll in grass.
